Canteen, part of Compass Group, is hiring a District Operations Manager to lead warehouse and distribution operations, drive inventory accuracy, and optimize labor planning. You will partner with district and warehouse leadership to improve productivity, safety, and profitability.

The role emphasizes leadership of supervisors and frontline staff, implementing KPI-driven improvements, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Experience leading warehouse teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of inventory control, WMS, receiving, shipping, and fulfillment processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety practices, and continuous improvement methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead through change.

Responsibilities

• Execute district operational strategies that improve warehouse efficiency, service levels, and profitability.
• Oversee receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, and shipping activities.
• Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and cost reduction.
• Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
• Analyze warehouse metrics including inventory accuracy, fulfillment rates, labor utilization, and productivity.
• Identify trends and develop action plans to improve operational performance and inventory control.
• Support forecasting and inventory planning to ensure product availability.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse associates.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure team compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure OSHA and company policy compliance.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and training programs.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Partner with transportation, sales, and operations teams to support customer satisfaction and growth.
• Resolve operational issues and customer escalations promptly.
• Support special projects, peak-volume periods, facility initiatives, and operational transitions.
