Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a District Manager to drive store profitability, oversee merchandising, operations, and expense control across the district while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will lead, coach, and develop store managers, recruit talent, manage budgets, ensure safety/compliance, and promote a customer-first culture, with travel up to 50% and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• 5+ years retail experience with at least 2 years multi-store experience.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills and team-building ability.
• Ability to analyze, organize and present information with results focus.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills.
• HR and asset protection skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Process management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.

• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Champion a customer-first mindset across the district.
• Travel up to 50% with occasional overnight stays to support district operations.
