Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a District Manager to lead 15+ store teams within the district. You will drive store profitability while maintaining customer service and a safe, compliant environment.

You will recruit and develop district managers, oversee budgets and operations, and travel up to 50% to support stores. A strong background in retail leadership and HR/asset protection is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• At least 5 years retail experience with at least 2 years of multi-store experience.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills and ability to build an effective team.
• Ability to analyze, organize and present information and focus on results.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills.
• HR and asset protection skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Process management skills.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive the success and profitability of stores while ensuring outstanding customer service and a safe, compliant work environment.
• Oversee merchandising, operations, and expense control programs.
• Lead, coach, and mentor store managers to meet objectives.
• Foster a collaborative environment promoting teamwork and communication.
• Source, recruit, hire, and develop district store managers.
• Drive sales, profitability, and expense management to meet goals.
• Travel up to 50% with overnight stays to support stores across the district.
• Promote safety audits and operational consistency across district.
