Professional working proficiency in Spanish is highly desired but not required.
Responsibilities of the District Office Staff Assistant include serving as the initial point of contact for the office by greeting visitors, answering phones, and handling constituent correspondence; administrative tasks; assisting with casework and outreach activities; andmanaging 2-4 interns each semester.
The District Office Staff Assistant is expected to work in-office Monday-Friday, 9AM to 5PM; all staff members must also accommodate additional scheduling needs — including long hours, nights, and weekends — as required based on office commitments. Possession of a driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a vehicle are preferred.
This position is based out of Congresswoman Scanlon’s District Office in Chester, PA. The salary for this position is $55,000 per year plus benefits.
