Job description

The office of Congresswoman Analilia Mejia (NJ-11) is seeking a District Caseworker with excellent attention to details and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interacting with constituents via phone, email and in person; establish, follow through and complete constituent casework; acting as a liaison with federal, state and local agencies on behalf of constituents, attend outreach assignments on behalf of the office, and help plan and executive the office’s events. This role may be assigned other duties as needed.

Ideal candidates have the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively offer solutions. Candidates will have exceptional oral and written communication skills, be able to work well under pressure and are responsive to deadlines, and have the ability to balance competing priorities. This individual will often interact with constituents and will be expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment as part of their primary job duties. These essential job functions must be performed in-person.

This is a full-time, entry-level position. The position requires a willingness to work non-traditional hours when required. At least one year of relevant experience; and strong oral and written communication skills. NJ and/or district ties are a plus. Spanish bilingual speakers are encouraged to apply.

The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience.
