Job summary

Ross Local Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist Supervisor to provide leadership for district-wide special education programs and ensure FAPE in the Least Restrictive Environment. You will collaborate with principals, staff, and families to monitor compliance and implement evidence-based practices.

You will supervise staff, assist in recruitment, review IEPs, and coordinate IEP/504 processes while ensuring timelines and state/federal requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Demonstrate sincere desire to aid all students with high moral character.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Special Services in planning, implementing, and evaluating district-wide special education programs and related services.
• Supervise, observe, and evaluate special education staff in collaboration with administration.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new special education staff.
• Support monitoring of programs to ensure alignment with state standards and student needs.
• Ensure district compliance with IDEA, ADA, and Section 504 timelines.
• Review IEPs and evaluation reports for accuracy and rigor.
• Represent LEA at IEP/504 meetings as needed.
• Mediates parent concerns and responds to formal complaints.
• Maintain student records and assist with data reporting for state/federal requirements.
• Provide ongoing coaching and professional development for staff on instructional strategies and inclusion.
