Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced District Service Manager to lead service operations across our DC/VA portfolio of eight properties totaling 2,504 units.

The role focuses on maximizing efficiency, service quality, and cost control while coordinating maintenance systems and training for service teams. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will supervise Service Managers and technicians, manage budgets, negotiate contracts, ensure safety and compliance, and drive ongoing improvements across

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5–7 years of supervisory experience in service management for residential properties.
• Experience in budgeting, CapEx, and R&M planning for multiple communities.
• EPA and CFC certifications are preferred for equipment management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service functions across multiple communities to ensure efficiency and customer service.
• Develop and monitor service budgets, watch market trends, and allocate resources within approved budgets.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and manage contractor schedules and inspections.
• Ensure safety programs, training, and regulatory compliance are followed.
• Lead staff development, performance reviews, and corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify ROI projects and operational improvements.
