Job summary

UDR is seeking a District Service Manager to oversee service functions across multiple communities within the DC/VA portfolio. You will lead training, manage budgets, coordinate maintenance programs, and collaborate with senior leaders to optimize ROI for the portfolio.

The role requires strong leadership, supervisory experience, and knowledge of building systems. You will ensure safety, maintain performance standards, and drive service excellence across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Experience in service management for residential properties is required.
• Five to seven years’ supervisory experience.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Chlorine, Fluorine, and Carbon (CFC) certification preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing the service budget and allocate resources within approved budgets.
• Monitor turnover, CapEx, and R&M budgets.
• Negotiate, develop, and execute service contracts with assistance from Corporate Purchasing.
• Supervise service staff and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
