Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a District Sales Manager to drive profitable revenue growth across the South District. You will lead a qualified sales team in coordination with Branch Managers, the District Manager, and the Regional Sales & Marketing Director to meet district objectives.

You will motivate Outside Sales Reps, develop new markets, manage territories, align Inside/Outside Sales, and promote key accounts while leveraging Salesforce for efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of work experience.
• 7+ years in outside sales or sales management with planning, problem solving, negotiation and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills with Salesforce.
• Strong leadership, customer service, presentation, analytics and communication abilities.
• Independent self-starter with organizational skills and business acumen.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and assist Outside Sales Representatives to meet/exceed equipment rental, sales and revenue goals.
• Collaborate with District/Branch Managers to develop new markets and analyze market trends and competition.
• Help Branch Managers set territories, goals and forecasts for Outside Sales Reps.
• Align Inside Sales Reps activities with Outside Sales Reps.
• Support sales blitzes and customer events to improve relationships and drive sales in the district.
• Promote revenue generation for Key/ National/ Strategic accounts within the district.
• Promote efficient use of Salesforce.
