Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a District Manager to lead multiple locations within a geographic area and drive revenue, profitability, market share and employee satisfaction.

You will partner with regional leaders to set budgets, coach branch managers and sales reps, analyze KPI results, and optimize fleet usage while ensuring safety programs and company policies are followed. A strong track record in operations and sales is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years of progressive management with P&L responsibility.
• Sales and customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of equipment rental industry preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set financial goals for all branches with the Regional VP.
• Plan and manage budgets at branch level and guide managers.
• Coordinate district sales efforts and coach branch management.
• Work with region finance to interpret KPI results and recommend actions.
• Collaborate with Fleet Director to optimize the fleet.
• Assess market trends and key accounts with regional teams.
• Support safety programs with Region Safety Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
