Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a District Sales Manager to drive revenue by leading a qualified sales team in partnership with Branch Managers, the District Manager, and the Regional Sales & Marketing Director. You will motivate Outside Sales Representatives, develop markets, and align Inside Sales activities to achieve district goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 7+ years in sales or management, strong leadership and communication, and proficiency with Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of outside sales or sales management experience.
• Proficient with Salesforce.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and support Outside Sales Representatives to meet revenue goals.
• Develop new markets and assess market trends.
• Set sales territories, goals, and forecasts with Branch Managers.
• Align Inside Sales activities with Outside Sales.
• Lead sales blitzes and customer events to drive penetration.
• Promote National/Strategic/Assigned Account revenue.
• Encourage efficient use of Salesforce.
