Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a District Sales Representative to develop customer relationships with independent distributors and retailers across the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Bergen County. You will drive growth of snack cake products by providing sales support, onboarding distributors, and building brand presence in the district.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in account management or sales leadership in food, beverage, or grocery, with willingness to travel and early start hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of account management or sales leadership experience in food, beverage or grocery.
• District covers Bronx County, Brooklyn, and Bergen County; relocation possible.
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
• Able to develop accounts and build rapport with distributors.
• Proficient with business software; comfortable with Google Workspace.
• Work from home capability.
• Early starts around 4:00 AM.
• Clean driving record.
• Advanced degree, training or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with independent distributors and retailers in the district.
• Recruit and appoint quality distributors for the territory.
• Offer quality orientation to new independent distributors.
• Act as liaison between McKee Foods and independent distributors.
• Develop good relationships with retailers in the district.
• Gain authorizations for products, space and promotions with retailers.
• Communicate with distributors regularly to drive growth.
• Encourage and assist distributors with business plans.
• Operate a company sales territory and bring DSR balance to zero within four weeks of ending the territory.
• Assist Distributor Accounts and Retail Accounts Receivable.
• Comply with FSO practices and procedures.
• Operate a company vehicle on a daily basis.
• Communicate job information to accomplish work tasks.
• Exercise personal safety on the job and ensure product safety.
