Job summary

Reasors Food Stores is seeking a trainee to complete the core management program across multiple Michigan locations. You will support Area and Store Managers while gaining hands-on supervisory experience.

The role requires leadership potential, strong communication, and the ability to travel between stores within the region; overnight stays may be necessary. Training completion leads to Store Manager opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; progress toward or completion of a bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least one year of retail experience, preferably in a convenience store.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math skills for change, volume sales, and tax percentages.
• Must read and apply company procedure documents.
• Good interpersonal skills to greet customers and coach Associates.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and monitor activity in-store and at gas pumps.
• Must complete company-sponsored training and updates on schedule.
• Computer literacy; use of company software for operations, HR apps, and office applications.
• Able to work any shift, multiple locations, and overnight stays if needed.
• If a Store Manager opening is within 25 miles, incumbent is expected to accept.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance as required.
• Physical: lift up to 25 lb frequently and up to 50 lb occasionally; tolerate coolers and stairs.

Responsibilities

• Complete core management development coursework and corporate training requirements.
• Prepare and review operating reports for assigned stores during rotations; identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist Store Managers in maintaining store operations during rotations; supervise shifts and ensure policies are followed.
• Provide work directions to Associates; ensure areas are clean and stocked; handle customer issues and feedback.
