Job summary

CVS Health in California is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to strengthen pharmacy operations across stores in the district. You will help cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, support the Pharmacy Manager, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient care.

You will travel to CVS locations, manage duties as acting Pharmacy Manager when needed, supervise staff, and assist in immunizations, insurance issues, and inventory control while upholding safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
Complete required training within designated timeframe.
Concentrate on a task over a period of time and pivot quickly between tasks.
Provide excellent customer service and team orientation to assist patients and colleagues.
Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues; active listening.
Use math to determine dispensing quantities, days supply, and bottle counts.
Identify and resolve patient or colleague interactions with appropriate actions.
Maintain physical stamina to stand and perform duties; lift and move items as needed.
Perform additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
