Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across stores in the district and to support the Pharmacy Manager and District Leader. You will help manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensure safe prescription fulfillment, and coach staff to deliver compassionate patient care.

You will travel within the district, immunize patients where permissible, and contribute to inventory management while maintaining regulatory compliance and CV S Health policies.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
• Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee pharmacy operations in stores within the district.
• Cover pharmacist scheduling gaps as directed by Pharmacy Manager and DL.
• Support safe prescription fulfillment and follow workflow procedures.
• Serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts.
• Coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate patient care and resolve issues.
• Offer immunizations and support pharmacy staff training.
• Maintain inventory controls and protect cold chain products.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs.
• Stay updated with regulatory requirements and CVS Health policies.
