Job summary

CVS Health invites District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) to join our pharmacy teams across stores in the district. You will cover scheduling gaps, support pharmacy operations, and model our values by delivering compassionate care to patients while ensuring safe dispensing and accurate workflows.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

Living CVS Health purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled and oversee the pharmacy as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when needed.
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflows and safety guardrails.
Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
Contributing to positive patient experiences by coaching the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance or medication issues.
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations and supporting technicians in immunization duties.
Managing pharmacy inventory with focus on protecting cold chain products and following best practices.
