Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores in the district. You will help manage day-to-day operations, ensure safe dispensing, and maintain patient-centered care while collaborating with the Pharmacy Manager and District Leader.

The role emphasizes flexibility for travel within the district, adherence to safety standards, and providing immunization and clinical care services where permissible.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the store's state.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across the district as directed.
• Support management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy and pharmacy team.
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and follow pharmacy workflow procedures.
• Serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap.
• Provide clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception).
• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state laws, CVS Health policies, and patient privacy standards.
