Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps across stores in the district, while supporting pharmacy teams and ensuring safe, accurate dispensing. You will act as a pharmacy leader, often the proxy for the Pharmacy Manager, and collaborate with the district leadership to optimize patient care.

This role requires travel within a reasonable radius, strong clinical skills, excellent customer service, and a commitment to CVS Health values.

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
Cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams.
Oversee safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following workflow procedures.
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist on duty.
Assist in delivering immunizations and coaching technicians to immunize where permissible.
Protect cold chain products and manage pharmacy inventory according to best practices.
Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and CVS Health policies.
