Job summary

Sun Communities, Inc. seeks a District Manager to oversee multiple communities, driving profitability and resident satisfaction. You will lead operations including leasing, maintenance, budgeting, and HR while serving as the primary contact for residents.

You will be on-call and ensure capital improvements, on-site team leadership, and superb service across districts. On-site housing is provided, with responsibilities spanning quarterlies, compliance, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• 3 years in property management, including 2 years in supervision.
• 6 months in sales and leasing experience.
• General knowledge of maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local fair housing and employment laws.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to live on-site within the community (housing provided).
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage the rent collection process for the district, including posting and depositing income and delinquency collections.
• Identify and prepare sites for Sun Homes models and move-ins.
• Monitor, code and approve invoices.
• Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and community operations.
• Coordinate team member selection and development and ensure policy compliance.
• Oversee lease renewals, rent increases, and the Lease Purchase Program operations.
• Review residency applications and approve/deny residency.
• Maintain community appearance to Sun's curb appeal standards.
• Assist in annual operating budget and capital expenditure planning.
• Prepare monthly property accounting reports and variance explanations.
• Manage local dealer relationships and contracted services.
• Publish community newsletters quarterly.
