Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a District Manager to oversee operations, budgeting, leasing, and resident relations across multiple communities in the Westbrook area. You will lead on-site teams, manage capital improvements, and ensure profitability while maintaining Sun's standards for curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and knowledge of fair housing laws, with housing provided on-site where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3 years in property management, including 2 years of supervisory experience
• 6 months in prior sales and leasing experience
• General knowledge of maintenance
• Thorough knowledge of fair housing and employment law
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Computer proficiency (internet, MS Office)

Responsibilities

• Manages rent collection process for multiple communities
• Identifies and prepares sites for models and move-ins
• Monitors, codes and approves invoices
• Ensures compliance with fair housing laws
• Coordinates team member selection and development
• Manages Lease Purchase Program (LPP) including repairs, leasing, and sales
• Reviews residency applications and approves/denies residency
• Maintains community appearance per curb appeal standards
• Inspects renovations and insurance inspections
• Prepares annual operating budget and capital expenditure data
