Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a District Operations Manager- Wood Dale, IL to lead operational excellence for the Refreshment Services division. You will partner with district managers, drive route performance, and oversee data reporting to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes coaching, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to influence staffing, costs, and service quality across multiple accounts.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in operations, logistics, route-based distribution, or retail/foodservice.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute district operational strategies to drive service excellence, customer retention, and profitable growth.
• Act as the primary operational resource for route drivers and field teams, resolving day-to-day issues and removing barriers to execution.
• Ensure successful route completion through proactive monitoring and follow-up.
• Collaborate with district managers to maintain service levels, productivity standards, and compliance.
• Review reports to monitor route performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide coaching and direction to route drivers and field associates.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and development to build a high-performing team.
