Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a District Manager to lead and develop an assigned district across operations, marketing, sales, maintenance and risk management. The role focuses on maximizing revenue and profitability through strategic planning and cross-functional leadership.

You will build city operating plans, set KPI targets, forecast budgets, and supervise staff across multiple locations, while partnering with local organizations to drive business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.
• Three or more years operations and sales experience, with at least one year at the supervisory level.
• General business knowledge to lead multiple markets/locations.
• Excellent management skills with ability to oversee staff across locations.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills to track and forecast operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and communicates city operating plans to maximize revenue and market share.
• Sets monthly goals for location KPIs including revenue, transactions and incremental sales.
• Forecasts and manages city budgets and key financial drivers.
• Directs fleet distribution and maintenance activities across locations.
• Oversees inventory management and fleet age mix.
• Collaborates with Corporate Sales and Marketing on local plans and policies.
• Reviews capital projects and analyses operating reports.
• Directs payment processing and HR-related activities.
• Builds relationships with local businesses and agencies to protect company interests.
