Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking a District Manager in Phoenix to lead and develop assigned locations, driving revenue, profitability and operational excellence across operations, marketing and risk management.

You will partner with corporate teams, set local plans, manage budgets, and build a high-performing field leadership team to deliver sustainable results. Phoenix-based role with broad scope and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field (or equivalent in education, experience or training).
• Three or more years operations and sales experience, with at least one year at the supervisory level, preferably in a vehicle rental or related industry.
• General business knowledge to successfully lead and direct multiple markets/locations.
• Excellent management skills; provide direction to a large staff across multiple locations.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills to forecast operational performance.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Interpersonal and coaching skills; ability to motivate staff and engage internal/external customers.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and communicates city operating plans to maximize revenue and market share.
• Sets monthly goals for locations’ KPIs including revenue per unit, revenue and transactions.
• Forecasts, budgets and manages the key financial drivers of a city.
• Directs fleet distribution activities to assess vehicle availability at various locations.
• Oversees fleet maintenance and reconditioning activities.
• Evaluates inventories to maintain proper mix and age of vehicles.
• Works with Sales and Marketing to develop local plans and policies.
• Reviews capital projects and DOR reports.
• Directs payment of bills and processing of personnel records.
• Builds and maintains relationships with local business groups and agencies.
• Ensures Quality Assurance standards are met.
• Hires, trains, develops and evaluates staff; implements HR policies.
