Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a District Manager to lead and develop an assigned district across operations, marketing, sales, maintenance and risk management, aiming for revenue growth and profitability.

You will hire, train and coach managers, set city operating plans, monitor performance, manage fleet maintenance, budgets and capital projects, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to drive local strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Three or more years operations and sales experience, with at least one year at the supervisory level.
• General business knowledge to successfully lead and direct multiple markets/locations.
• Excellent management skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Very strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to interact with both internal and external customers at all levels.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and communicates city operating plans that maximize revenue and grow market share.
• Monitors performance against plan and revises plans and standards to maximize profits.
• Sets monthly goals for location KPIs: revenue per unit, revenue, transactions and incremental sales.
• Forecasts, budgets and manages key financial drivers of a city.
• Directs fleet distribution and maintenance activities for fleet availability and condition.
• Reviews capital projects and DOR reports; oversees spends and resources.
• Hires, trains, motivates and evaluates staff; enforces HR policies with consistency.
