Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a Network Engineer to install, configure, operate, and maintain WAN/LAN and wireless networks and related equipment to meet service requirements. You will supervise data center operations, cabling, and power configurations, and lead project teams with vendors to implement solutions.

The role requires knowledge of data center design, security monitoring, disaster recovery, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years of WAN/LAN/network experience.
• Experience maintaining Data Center infrastructure and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates a Data Center; cabling, power configurations, and hardware.
• Serves as technical lead on projects; coordinates deployments with vendors and agencies.
• Implements data protection and disaster recovery; ensures backups and recoverability; monitors security.
• Installs, configures, and operates network hardware and software; provides 24/7 on-call support.
