Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a District Multilingual Instructional Specialist (Title Funded) to improve English Learner achievement by supporting teachers, coordinating EL/LOTE instruction, and guiding data-driven instructional practices. The role reports to the Director of Multilingual and operates within an exempt professional class.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Valid Texas teacher certification or teaching certificate from out of state appropriate to position.
• Languages Other Than English (LOTE) certification required within first year of employment.
• English as a second language (ESL) certification required within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, mentoring, coaching and training for identified teachers serving ELs and campuses.
• Conduct needs analysis to identify EL learning needs at each campus and organize problem-solving strategies.
• Facilitate training in effective instruction, differentiation, and strategies for English Learners.
• Work with teachers to refine knowledge and skills using coaching, co-teaching, and gradual release methods.
• Assist with design of lesson planning, common assessments, and TEKS integration.
