Job summary

Little Elm ISD is seeking a Multilingual Specialist to support Emergent Bilingual students and lead language development within the Assigned Campus. The role reports to the Principal and requires collaboration with teachers, staff, and families.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas teaching certificate with ESL or Bilingual certification, have a strong understanding of SIOP strategies, and bring a minimum of three years of teaching experience to promote student growth in language development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• ESL Supplemental Certification or Bilingual Certification.
• A minimum of 3 years teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct services to Emergent Bilingual students to develop academic achievement and language development.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum with accommodations.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Conduct assessments to inform instruction and track student progress.
• Coordinate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed for IEPs.
• Lead LPAC meetings and participate in staff development activities.
• Establish professional relationships with parents, students and colleagues.
