Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking motivated individuals to join the District Manager Trainee (DMT) program in Michigan. Over a 44-week training period you will gain knowledge and hands-on experience preparing you to oversee multiple ALDI stores as a district manager.

Starting salary is $95,000 with a $5,000 signing bonus; salary increases to $110,000 in Year 2, $120,000 in Year 3, and $130,000 in Year 4. Travel is required daily and a company car is provided to support district operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to store management to ensure desired results; leads and develops store management personnel.
• Leads, develops, and supervises the assigned store manager team to develop sales, engage our teams, satisfy customers, and achieve high performance.
• Supports store management in fostering a positive working environment and sense of teamwork among direct and personnel reports.
• Develops and implements action plans using company-provided resources to improve operating results.
• Works with the store manager to recruit, select, promote and determine store assignments for personnel reports to ensure proper staffing.
• Confers with direct reports regarding advancement, discipline or termination of personnel.
• Trains and develops direct reports to maximize potential using training materials.
• Observes and evaluates employees’ work performance and coaches accordingly.
• Collaborates with the store manager to resolve escalated concerns.
• Oversees compliance with policies and regulations; ensures safe working environment.
