Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in North Carolina is seeking a District Manager to lead multiple stores, drive revenue, and elevate customer experiences. You will oversee store operations, coach staff, recruit talent, and travel across Charlottesville/Raleigh, NC, Indian Land, SC, and Richmond, VA to train teams.

The role demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage budgets while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

Must have multi-unit retail sales/service operations leadership experience.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and coach staff.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.

Responsibilities

Accountable for all district store activities and operations affecting customers, staff and goals.
Meets revenue goals by achieving or exceeding monthly budget expectations.
Conducts facility audits to ensure physical and operational standards are met.
Directs daily activities and scheduling of staff; provides feedback.
Recruits, interviews, and hires new staff members.
Leads by example, coaching teammates and sharing a clear vision.
Travels within the designated area to all stores and training locations.
