Job summary

Airgas is seeking a District Manager in Eugene, OR to lead and mentor sales teams across multiple retail shops, while ensuring safety, profitability, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strategic oversight of P&L, operations, and cross-functional collaboration with branches and leadership.

Ideal candidates have a strong track record in B2B sales, leadership, and experience managing budgets, with a focus on delivering results and growing market presence in the Oregon region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (ideally 5+ years in a relevant field).
• Proven history of sustainable sales growth and profitability.
• Experience mentoring a team and managing P&L in B2B or distribution.
• A proactive leadership approach with 5+ years of mentoring teams.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with cross-functional collaboration.
• Comfort with Excel and Word for data entry and reporting.
• Numerical proficiency for practical business applications.
• Willingness to travel and lift 25-75 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Empower, mentor, and support the sales team toward safety standards and performance milestones.
• Provide P&L stewardship for the assigned branches and territory.
• Cultivate exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
• Advocate for safety measures and ensure alignment with safety protocols.
• Optimize margins by implementing regional/area plans and controlling expenses.
• Enhance selling skills and product knowledge through ongoing learning.
• Foster growth and guide on company policies and customer service excellence.
• Partner with Branch Manager on hiring, training, and staff management.
• Support outside sales with sales data and leadership forecasts.
• Coordinate paperwork, inventory, pricing, profitability, and facility upkeep.
