Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a District Manager to lead 15+ store teams across the district, driving sales, service, and profitability while upholding safety and compliance. You will coach store managers, recruit leaders, and ensure consistent execution of merchandising and operations.

Expect frequent travel up to 50% in the Charlotte area. Required are a high school diploma or GED (bachelor’s preferred) and strong leadership, communication, and HR skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build a high-performing team.
• Ability to analyze, organize and drive results with business acumen.
• Experience in HR and asset protection is a plus.
• Retail district leadership experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead 15+ store teams across the district to meet sales and service goals.
• Drive profitability and manage district budgets and expenses.
• Coach store managers to achieve objectives and develop talent.
• Oversee merchandising, operations, and program execution across stores.
• Foster an inclusive, teamwork-oriented environment with open communication.
• Source, recruit, hire, and develop district leadership.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and regular audits across the district.
• Travel up to 50% with occasional overnight stays.
