Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a District Manager to lead at least 15 store teams in the Memphis area. You will drive profitability, coach store managers, recruit talent, and ensure safety and compliance across districts.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and customer focus, with up to 50% travel. Qualifications include 5+ years in retail, 2+ years multi-store management, a valid driver’s license, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 5 years retail experience with 2+ years multi-store leadership.
• Strong leadership, communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to analyze and present information with a results focus.
• HR and asset protection knowledge and customer service excellence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; able to manage budgets and audits.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Drive the success and profitability of stores while delivering outstanding service.
• Oversee merchandising, operations and expense control programs district-wide.
• Lead, coach and mentor store managers to meet business objectives.
• Source, recruit, hire and develop store managers across the district.
• Drive sales, profitability and expense management to meet goals.
• Implement processes ensuring operational consistency across the district.
• Promote safety, compliance and conduct audits as needed.
• Manage operating budgets and optimize store performance.
• Foster a customer-first environment with professional interactions.
