Job summary

Journeys in Raleigh, NC is seeking a driven District Manager in Training to support store leadership across the district. You will help supervise multiple locations, coach teams, and drive sales and profitability.

This role requires hands-on retail experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to travel within the district; we value initiative, rapid promotion potential, and a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively within district.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop high-caliber teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Completion of training leading to District Manager in Training or equivalent.
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Achieve district sales goals and profitability targets.
• Support the DSM in evaluating people and performance.
• Staffing stores within the district.
• Manage Loss Prevention practices within the district.
• Direct store operations and provide coaching and accountability.
• Recruit, interview, and hire store management as directed.
• Train and promote store employees within the district.
• Conduct regular district store visits.
• Communicate with District Sales Manager and regional/corporate staff.
