Job summary

Journeys is seeking a District Sales Manager in Training to supervise retail store locations within a district and develop essential leadership skills for progression to DSM. You will support store performance, staff development, and adherence to company policies.

The role requires 1–2 years of retail sales experience, strong interpersonal and customer service abilities, and willingness to travel within the district. Night and weekend availability and a valid driver’s license are necessary.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years retail sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively within district.
• Ability to work night and weekend shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Achieve district sales goals and profitability targets.
• Support the DSM in evaluating staff and developing action plans.
• Staff stores within the district.
• Manage Loss Prevention practices within the district.
• Direct store operations and coach employees.
• Recruit, interview, and hire store management candidates.
• Train and promote store employees within the district.
• Conduct regular store visits and communicate with leadership.
