Airgas is hiring a District Manager for Illinois. The role focuses on leading sales teams, driving safety and performance, and strengthening market presence across Aurora, Joliet and surrounding branches. Targeted salary range $115k–$120k with bonus opportunities, plus comprehensive benefits.

The position emphasizes collaborative leadership, mentoring, and alignment of resources to grow revenue while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (ideally 7+ years in a relevant field).
• Proven record of contributing to sustainable sales success and profitable growth.
• Experience increasing responsibility in a B2B sales or sales operations role, including mentoring a team and P&L stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales teams to advance safety standards and performance milestones.
• Provide P&L care for assigned branches and territory.
• Cultivate exceptional customer service and product knowledge with a collaborative approach to problem resolution.
• Advocate safety measures through interactive meetings and alignment with safety protocols.
• Optimize profit margins by implementing plans from the Region and Area with aligned expenses.
• Enhance and sustain selling skills and product expertise through continuous learning.
• Foster professional growth and provide ongoing support on company policies and customer service excellence.
• Partner with Branch Manager in hiring, training, and development of employees.
• Support outside sales reps with insightful data and forecasts for leadership.
• Coordinate paperwork, inventory, pricing, and profitability for operational health.
