Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a District Sales Manager to hire, lead, and develop Dermatology Sales Representatives in the assigned district. You will drive sales performance, manage strategic business plans, and oversee face-to-face customer calls four days a week.

The role requires 7+ years in pharma/biopharma with 3 years in sales leadership, plus strong payer and relationship-building skills. Travel is extensive, and collaboration with HR, Marketing, and Finance is expected.

Job description

  • Plan and execute district sales meetings; conduct performance evaluations; participate in company‑sponsored events/meetings.

  • Lead, coach, and provide career development plans.
  • Analyze sales data/performance/trends; formulate and implement strategies to create product demand and sales revenue.
  • Monitor competitor activities/products; provide progress updates; respond to district business information requests.
  • Identify marketplace opportunities; share best practices across the organization.
  • Develop positive team norms and advance functional skill sets.
  • Monitor and control district expenditures to meet budget requirements.
  • Serve as liaison between district, field sales management, and other departments (HR, Marketing, Finance).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key HCPs.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s required; Master’s or advanced certifications a plus (science/clinical focus preferred).
  • 7+ years pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with 3 years sales leadership/management; Dermatology market experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven record leading, coaching, developing, retaining, and promoting top talent.
  • Demonstrated success as a District Sales Manager in complex markets with integrity.
  • Strong understanding of payer environment, reimbursement, and payer challenges (government programs, managed healthcare).
  • Proven ability to develop physician and key customer relationships.
  • Ability to partner/collaborate with internal departments.
  • Extensive travel required; regular overnight travel may be required.
