Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a District Manager to lead operations across multiple stores, pharmacy, home care, and clinics within a district. You will coach Store Managers and Pharmacy Managers, drive engagement, and ensure resources are in place to improve sales, profitability, and customer experience.

You will champion One Plan execution, manage local merchandising and inventory, and collaborate with regional leaders to meet business goals while maintaining brand standards across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state or licensed RPh as soon as possible given state law requirements, no later than 12 months from District Manager position start date (external candidates).
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to travel 85% of the time for business purposes (within district).
• Willing to travel up to/at least 85% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

• Executes the One Plan strategy, ensuring consistency and excellence of customer experience.
• Coaches Store Managers and Pharmacy Managers to drive employee engagement and performance.
• Leads district execution of front end and pharmacy initiatives with the RVP.
• Oversees merchandising, inventory, and local buys in collaboration with leadership.
• Ensures compliance with laws and company policies across stores in the district.
