Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a District Manager to lead at least 15 store teams across the assigned area in Akron, OH. You will drive profitability, oversee merchandising, operations, and expenses while coaching store managers to exceed objectives.

You’ll recruit and develop a high-performing team, promote safety and compliance, and help maintain a customer-first culture with strong leadership and communication across the district. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• At least 5 years retail experience with 2+ years multi-store
• Strong leadership and motivational skills are required.
• Ability to analyze, organize, present information and focus on results.

Responsibilities

• Lead 15 store teams across the district and drive profitability.
• Oversee merchandising, operations and expense control programs.
• Coach store managers to meet and exceed objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and develop district store managers.
• Drive sales and manage budgets to meet goals.
• Ensure safety, compliance and audits within the district.
• Promote a customer-first mindset and strong communications.
• Travel up to 50% with overnight stays as needed.
