Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a District Lead Athletics & Co-Curricular Director to coordinate middle school athletics and co-curricular activities. The role partners with the Executive Director for Secondary Teaching to oversee district policy, budgeting, and staff coordination.

Responsibilities include leading events, organizing transportation, managing calendars, and ensuring safety and compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the given sport.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Clear background check.

Responsibilities

• Work with student-athletes to ensure a fun, safe, competitive, and meaningful sporting experience.
• Ensure the AAPS Code of Conduct as they relate to sports is followed.
• Support all seven AAPS middle school Athletic & Co-Curricular Directors with regards to district policy & procedure; consultant.
• Act as District Lead Athletics' Representative at City events; allocate responsibilities to building Athletic Directors; maintain handbooks and evaluation tools.
• Recruit, interview, and recommend hires for coaches and directors; coordinate weekly information for building athletic directors.
• Manage transportation planning, schedules, and city-wide communications for sports activities.
• Develop and maintain seasonal sport schedules; update assignors with master schedule changes.
• Maintain the Master budget and approve purchases related to sports equipment and jerseys.
