Job summary

Applitrack presents a High School Assistant Coach position in the District's athletic department. The role assists the head coach with organizing the program, conducts practices, motivates students and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques.

You will help plan schedules, ensure eligibility, manage equipment, communicate with staff, and maintain records while promoting sportsmanship and safety across all levels.

Qualifications

• Certification in ASSP or Illinois teaching credential.
• Pass IHSA required tests and view videos.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees program levels or areas of responsibility.
• Plan game and practice schedules with the head coach.
• Verify participant registration and eligibility.
• Develop schedules for games, practices, facilities, and budget.
• Communicate practice plans and competition strategies.
• Attend pre-season meetings to review eligibility and codes.
• Coordinate off-season, summer, and in-season schedules.
• Supervise equipment inventory and maintain facilities safety.
• Maintain communication with athletes, staff, parents and community.
• Build relationships with local athletic programs.
