Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years landscape maintenance with 2 years in supervision.
• Knowledge of fertilizers, irrigation systems, herbicides, and mowing/planting practices.
• Experience in snow and ice removal techniques and equipment.
• May need to obtain State of Utah pesticide license within 6 months.
• Strong oral and written communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule tasks and assign duties to crews of varying skill levels.
• Read and interpret blueprints; ensure Salt Lake City specifications are followed.
• Inspect work in progress and track supplies; recommend purchases.
• Prepare payroll, leave requests, and maintain maintenance logs.
• May act as Manager in absence and coordinate with other city agencies.
• Ensure safe operations and proper asset maintenance.
