Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning and maintenance of our facilities. This role requires supervising staff, ensuring OSHA-compliant cleaning procedures, and monitoring building systems for issues.

The successful candidate will schedule tasks, manage supplies, and respond to emergencies as needed. The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and service to the community, with benefits and a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience related to custodial/maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily cleaning and upkeep of assigned facility.
• Verifies cleaning procedures comply with OSHA regulations.
• Monitors heating, lighting, plumbing, ventilation and A/C; reports irregularities.
• Locks/unlocks doors and arms/disarms security system per protocol.
• Schedules regular cleaning tasks including carpet and floor care.
• Performs exterior maintenance: snow removal, window washing, graffiti removal.
• Leads weekly staff meetings; posts weekly schedules.
• Monitors custodial supply inventory and budget usage.
• Responds to emergencies during non-scheduled hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
