Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and landscaping.
• Experience working for a city municipal park.
• Experience operating light or heavy-duty equipment.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties to maintain city-owned grounds, parks, trails, cemeteries, open spaces, and recreation facilities, including mowing, aerating, and weeding turf; cleaning restrooms; picking up trash; raking leaves; clearing sidewalks; and removing debris.
• Operates various types of handheld and light mechanical equipment including mowers, sweepers, blowers, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
• Assists with park-related projects such as laying sod, re-seeding, and planting of flowers and trees; inspects and adjusts sprinkler systems.
