Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation's Airport division seeks an Airfield Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance of the airfield, roads and grounds, and to train staff in procedures and equipment use. You will coordinate projects, supervise crews, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and respond to emergencies.

The role requires significant supervisory experience, knowledge of airfield operations, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with six years in maintenance.
• Two years in a supervisory or lead capacity required.
• Knowledge of safety rules and hazardous materials handling.
• Ability to read blueprints and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assigns day-to-day work schedules for crews.
• Directs maintenance work to meet deadlines and inspects progress.
• Maintains timekeeping, labor distribution, and daily logs.
• Provides training and performance feedback.
• Operates light/heavy equipment as needed.
• Coordinates snow and ice removal operations.
• Responds to emergencies and airport operational needs.
