Job summary

Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a Groundskeeper II to maintain state facilities’ grounds and landscaping. The role involves mowing, planting, sprinkler maintenance, and chemical applications, with supervisory responsibilities for other staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Mow, rake, water, and fertilize lawns.
• Plant, transplant, water, fertilize, and trim flowers and shrubs.
• Assist with maintenance of sprinkler systems.
• Assist with preventative maintenance of lawnmowers, snow blowers, and other groundskeeping equipment.
• May apply herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers and other chemicals.
• Lead other groundskeepers in supervisory roles.
• Remove snow.
• Physically strenuous tasks including digging, lifting, crouching, and climbing.
