Job summary

Polk County School Board is seeking an IT Technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot desktop computer hardware and software across district facilities. You will communicate with vendors, coordinate warranty services, and provide inservice to district staff.

A strong hands-on knowledge of Windows platforms, TCP/IP networking and hardware fundamentals is required. The role involves physical duties, including operating a motor vehicle, and supports site administrators with day-to-day

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• CompTIA A+ certification required.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Windows client platforms.
• Knowledge of desk-top Windows and TCP/IP networking hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vendor warranty services including scheduling service calls and component replacement.
• Troubleshooting basic networking problems.
