The Community Blood Center is looking for a full-time Distribution Technician for the 3rd shift in Appleton, Wisconsin. Responsibilities include the processing, preparation, labeling, storage, and distribution of blood components. On-the-job training is available for candidates without prior experience.

Distribution Technician – 3rd Shift (Tuesday‑Friday, 10:30 p.m.–8:30 a.m.) at The Community Blood Center. This full‑time position performs laboratory functions involving the processing, preparation, labeling, storage, and distribution of blood components and non‑blood components. On‑the‑job training is provided for candidates with no prior experience.
Initial training occurs on the 1st or 2nd shift for 46 weeks, followed by transition to the 3rd shift schedule listed above.
High school education or equivalency required. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to perform procedures and attend to detail. Skilled in accurate documentation with emphasis on detail. High level of assessment skills. Good telephone and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with moderate to fluctuating loud noise levels. Physical requirements include standing, walking, moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, and bending. Exposure to potentially infectious agents, electrical equipment, and needles.
