Job summary

Oatey is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to schedule and deploy orders to shipping sites, balance workloads, and ensure on-time performance. You will coordinate pickups, work with 3rd party carriers and internal DC teams.

The role requires at least one year of logistics experience, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and strong communication. You’ll support process improvements and special projects in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

One year of related work experience with basic knowledge of supply-chain logistics.
Experience with warehouse management systems and ability to learn WMS systems.
Basic understanding of OSHA & DOT rules and company safety policies.
Proficiency with Word and Excel; good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

Coordinate upfront scheduling of work and deploy orders to shipping sites.
Confirm orders, schedule pickups for large customers, and manage relationships.
Deploy orders from the mainframe WMS to the shipping system with accuracy.
Plan export shipments and ensure proper documentation and shipping rules.
Daily deploy Hot Rush shipments and ensure on-time fulfillment.
Coordinate transfers to warehouse and plant locations; maintain workflow balance.
Collaborate with transportation providers to ensure timely pickups and on-time performance.
Support safety, security of the DC, and drive process improvements in planning.
Assist and lead special projects such as product launches and line resets.
