Job summary

McLane is hiring an Assistant Distribution Manager in Georgia to oversee warehouse operations, ensure accurate order picking, shipping, receiving, and 24-hour coverage support. You’ll lead training, schedule shifts, monitor throughput, and coordinate with Supply Chain to maintain inventory levels and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in warehousing, with AS/400 and Excel experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in outbound/inbound warehousing, preferably in the foodservice industry.
• Experience with mainframe software (AS/400) and MS Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Experience managing a large team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and scheduling for certain warehouse shifts.
• Minimize mistakes and waste in the warehouse operation through coordination and supervision.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance (OSHA) in all activities.
• Ensure staffing meets shift demands and manage overtime wisely.
• Assist in creating and implementing procedures for receiving, storing, and shipping freight.
