McLane is seeking an Assistant Distribution Manager to help oversee the Distribution/Warehousing Department, ensuring 24-hour coverage and efficient handling of order selecting, shipping, receiving, and related activities.

The role emphasizes training, supervision, compliance with OSHA, inventory planning, and continuous improvement of processes, with opportunities to work with teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in outbound/inbound warehousing, preferably in the foodservice industry.
• Experience with mainframe AS/400 and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training and scheduling for warehouse shifts.
• Minimize mistakes and waste through supervision.
• Ensure OSHA and company sanitation compliance.
• Manage staffing for shifts and prevent substandard workers.
• Develop and implement receiving/put-away/ships procedures.
• Review warehouse layout and slotting to optimize order-pulling.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with Supply Chain.
• Ensure timely repairs of warehouse equipment.
• Maintain safety standards and achieve throughput goals.
• Assist Warehouse Manager in efficiency improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
